Tibetan Spaniel ‘Speaker’takes top prize

On Thursday, April 10, local resident of Bivins, Barbara Eymard, took home the prize for Best of Breed with her Tibetan Spaniel, Speaker, at the Tibetan Spaniel National. The competition was held in Sussex County, New Jersey and was comprised of 87 total entries, which were then divided into classes. Winners of each class moved forward until a single winner was chosen at the end. This year, that was Speaker, otherwise known by his American Kennel Club (AKC) identification name as Lantana’s Time to Talk at Bradmar.

Burglary,intent leads to arrest

On April 7, 2025, an incident that occurred at the Thomas Street Apartments led to the arrest of Jacorey Birmingham, a resident of Linden. Officers arrived promptly and secured the area. The suspect had fled on foot before officers’ arrival but was quickly located and detained.

Suspect ‘trashes’ bag of evidence

On April 7, 2025, while on patrol, a Linden Police officer observed a vehicle with a headlight out. The officer followed the vehicle to the Family Dollar parking lot in an attempt to make contact with the driver. As the vehicle parked, the officer noticed what appeared to be trash thrown from the window.
