(TEXARKANA, Texas) – Spring has officially begun, bringing warmer weather — and allergy season. CHRISTUS Health is providing tips for relieving pesky allergy symptoms as flowers bloom and trees release pollen.
The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children is looking for volunteers to become supporters for the current 22 children in foster care within Cass County. The announcement was posted on the Linden Police Department’s Facebook page on Monday, Apr. 7. The same day, the Texarkana Children Advocacy Center (TCAC), an umbrella program of CASA, met with residents in front of the Cass County Courthouse for a proclamation to raise awareness of and prevent child abuse.
Judge Ransom filed a state of disaster for Cass County with the County Clerk on Sunday, Apr. 6 after assessing the damage left by the weekend storms. It was determined that “extraordinary measures must be taken to alleviate the suffering of people, protect or rehabilitate property, and to clear our roads or repair our infrastructure.”
