The Linden Lions Club met for their regular meeting on Thursday, Oct. 15 at the County Seat Café. The special guest speaker was Peggy Walker who is the Texas Lions Camp Director for District 2x2.

Pat Fallon spoke at Amigo Juans to answer questions and rally fellow republicans to unify and get out and vote. Fallon will be speaking again on Thursday at the Indian Hills County Club 5:30- 7:30 for his “Patriots Rally”. Journal-Sun Photo

Atlanta High School debate teams performed very well at the Hallsville Debate Meet. Alex Jones and Ingrid Baizabal cross entered in Policy Debate and Extemporaneous Speaking, together they brought home 1st place in policy. Alex got 3rd place in Persuasive and Ingrid received 5th in Informative. Alex Jones was also top speaker for the day. In LD we had Jon Kennedy, Cademon Larson, and Manuel Olvera compete. In Jon’s first meet he went 1 and 2, Manuel speaking for the first time in varsity debate also went 1 and 2, while Cademon’s second outing in varsity went 2 and 1. We are very proud of the professionalism and work these kids put in and we’re happy to have them on our debate team!
