Hall-Miller Municipal Airport was awarded a federal grant of $30,000 as economic relief following the economic distress caused by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
Gov. Greg Abbott announced Monday that his stayat-home executive order will expire on Apr. 30 and will not be renewed. Additionally, Abbott detailed the criteria for reopening several Texas businesses to begin on May 1st. This after implementing the “retail to-go” approach to getting businesses operating again which took effect last Friday and allows businesses to take orders and either deliver them to customers’ homes or have customers pick up their order curbside, so long as they don’t enter the store.
CHRISTUS Health will certify all of its Texas facilities to resume elective care, and CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System is preparing to resume elective procedures and surgeries by the end of April, consistent with the provisions of the Governor Greg Abbot’s original order on April 17.
It was an absolutely delightful breezy spring night. Dad and I sat on the porch, enjoying perfect temperature, having a glass of wine, watching the colorful crop of new spring birds and admiring the fountain in the rocked pond. Lots of new birds have been coming into the feeders just in the last couple of days.
