Lucky U Rescue, a non-profit organization which aims to find and foster abandoned, homeless, or mistreated animals until they are adopted, will be hosting a Halloween event on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m located on Hiram St. in Atlanta.

I’ve been fortunate to visit some of the very best largemouth bass lakes in the world, and I’m thankful that so many of those trips came at a time when fishing was still fishing. The Cass County Peace Officers Association knows how to have a good time with its annual chili cook off. On Saturday, some 15 contestants cooked their secret methods for making chili and had a good time socializing with others around the caboose park at the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce.
