Genesis Prime- Care Ellington Memorial Clinic announced on June 28, 2022, that Dr. Joe Daniel Nichols, JR. is retiring from practicing medicine on August 31, 2022. Dr. Dan has been a well-known, respected doctor in the community that has served for 52 years. For many in the community, it will be a “wrenching farewell”.
Atlanta Police/ Fire Chief Robin Betts has put his notice that he will be retiring. Robin has served the city of Atlanta nearly for 35 years. According to City Commissioner David Cockrell, Betts is the first public safety director that was qualified to do both positions. He will be retiring from both of those positions.

Several things have been put in motion recently for the town of Linden. Lee Elliott the City manager says “the Blueprint for rebuilding the physical infrastructure in Linden is quickly coming to fruition.”
