On July 21, Cass County Republican Party Organizational Meeting was called to order at the Cass County Historical Courthouse, in Linden, TX at 6:00 p.m. by County Chair Carolyn Lance. Executive Committee members in attendance were Tony Cates, Margaret Parker, Mike Lee, Jean Cothren, Jude Schexnyder, Kay Burton, Bob Vernon, Allen Wylie, and Diane Schexnyder.
Earlier today, Congressman Pat Fallon (TX-04) led 6 of his colleagues in a letter to President Biden. The letter addresses the release from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) that was sent to China, among other nations. China received nearly a million barrels of taxpayer-funded emergency oil from the SPR and continues to grow its reserves.
When I first started my genealogy journey a few years ago a wise man said something that truly resonated with me… if you dig deep enough you will find that we are all related. I took this simple statement as a challenge and inspiration to search for my grandmother’s extended birth family, to find those deeper roots that would eventually form my branch, ultimately my soul. As it turns out, that wise man and I are related by blood while also sharing a passion for genealogical research, especially as it relates to our ancestry in Cass County, Texas.
