Moran Announces Re-Election Campaign
Fresh off a tour across Cass County Congressman Nathaniel Moran began his announce his intentions to run again for U.S. Representative of Texas Congressional District 1. Congressman Moran, stopping in Texarkana on Monday will travel across East Texas to announce his re-election campaign and visit with voters and local elected officials. According to a release, “It has been an incredible honor to represent East Texas in Congress,” Moran said. “I look forward to the opportunity to continue workingonbehalfoffamiliesfromSanAugustinetoTexarkana,”hecontinued. His release continued to highlight some of his achievements, “Congressman Moran was one of a few first-term Members of Congress appointed to serve on three committees: Judiciary, Foreign Affairs, and Education and Workforce. He has been instrumental in writing and supporting legislation critically important to East Texas, including: “Introducing the Rural Weather Monitoring Systems Act, which will require a review of current weather monitoring systems in rural areas. This legislation is the first step to reducing the National Weather Service’s reliance on secondary resources in rural East Texas and ensuring we have the ability to track life-threatening weather events.
