LifeShare Blood Center

LifeShare Blood Center awarded Queen City High School a LifeScholar of $1550 for all of the blood donors helping save lives. Queen City High School had 155 donors donate during the HS blood drives this school year. That’s up to 465 lives SAVED! High school donors add up to about 25% of the blood we provide to our hospitals. Without our high schools participating and giving back to the community we would not have as much of the much needed blood. Every two seconds someone needs blood. We count on our high schools to help educate students of the importance of giving back to the community. LifeShare Blood Center gives high schools that participate and meet the qualifications Life- Scholar to give to the students to help provide a scholarship. Students are asked to give at least 6 times through their high school years to be considered for the LifeScholar and all participates that donate at least 6 times also are given a blood donor honor cord to wear as recognition of all of the lives they helped save just by donating blood. Thank you to all of the graduates and best of luck in your future. We look forward to you being a hero blood donor for life!
