Texas has produced many colorful characters and gifted actors and artists in its long history. Among those is actor Larry Hagman. He played one of the most notorious villains on TV but was the opposite off-screen, known instead for his wit and his devotion to friends.

Congressman Moran introduces the Building Youth Workforce Skills Act

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Nathaniel Moran (TX-01) released the following statement today after introducing the Building Youth Workforce Act alongside Representative Lloyd Smucker (PA-11): “Providing access for all students to youth-workforce development and training programs is imperative to setting the next generation up for success and helping students overcome the many barriers to education, training, and employment they may face. The Building Youth Workforce Act would allow local workforce development boards to use their allotment of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act funds to provide Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) for eligible in-school-youth ages 16-21.

But there is another John Hancock who had his own adventures in war and politics. This John Hancock would travel to Texas, serve as a judge and attorney, and later become a member of Congress.
