Atlanta’s oldest newspaper was named the “Citizens Journal” because it was intended as a journal of its citizens experiences. In looking back through the earliest of the issues, it is apparent that it was exactly that.

The first thing that that Jesus did when he came into this world was to present his body to the Father, and that to be used for the glory of God. (Luke 2:21, 22) The first thing that Saul of Tarsus did when he met Jesus on the road to Damascus was to ask, “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” (Acts 9:16) This sets an example for us, when we come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, the first thing we must do is present our bodies a living sacrifice. (Romans 12:1) We surrender our will, our abilities, our ambitions to accomplish the will of God in our lives.
What is the first priority of our life? Jesus knew who he was, and his first priority was his relationship with his heavenly Father. There is a lesson here for our lives.
