CHRISTUS earns highest ratings for hospital
CHRISTUS Health hospitals in Texarkana and Atlanta have earned the top rating for health care safety from the Leapfrog Group, a national watchdog organization that assigns grades to U.S. hospitals based on their ability to prevent medical errors and harm to patients.
New record high for Texas Civilian Labor Force after adding 47,300
According to the Texas Workforce Commission, the Texas labor market achieved a new record high in October for the number of people in the civilian labor force. “After adding 47,300 people over the month, the seasonally adjusted civilian labor force reached a new record high of 15,497,100. This marks the tenth consecutive month of growth for Texas’ civilian labor force. Over the year, Texas’ civilian labor force has added 360,800 people.” Cass County also saw its number rise by nearly 100 people back into the workforce from August to September according to Local Area Unemployment Statistics (October not yet released).”
