Heartbreaking defeats at the Alamo and Goliad had severely damaged the army and morale. Now on the run in the spring of 1836, the hopes of Texas lay with him.

As of right now, the National Weather Service says all damage during both events is only straight-line winds. Right now, there are no confirmed touchdowns or tornadoes. There were 20,000+ electric customers without power across the area Friday night. And last night’s storm was even higher. At one point Swepco was showing 58,000+ customers without power from our area over into Louisiana.” Brian Loper says that he believes that the storms aren’t over and that the community should expect strong weather Monday.
