Over the next four years they have over $42 million dollars worth of planned infrastructure improvements scheduled for Cass County. First among them are new safety upgrades scheduled to be installed at 6 intersections in Cass County according to plans awarded in June by the Texas Department of Transportation. The nighttime lighting systems to be installed are safety enhancements that will provide LED lighting to increase visibility and awareness of the intersection. Some locations will also be transitioned from an overhead flashing beacon to flashing stop signs along with additional warning signs. The signage upgrade will also increase driver awareness of the approaching intersection. The work is expected to begin in September and take about 14 months to complete.
