No downtown meeting goes by in Linden without the public appreciating the lawn on the historic Cass County Courthouse. The children play here on the green grass or walk along the stone railing. Notice even the girls are competing, playing football with the young fellows during the recent “Kick Off the Fall on the Square” celebration.
The First Baptist Church at Kildare had an unusual reason for participating in Linden’s ˚Kick Off the Fall on the Square” celebration Sept. 28. The church wanted to give away free cookies, friendly messages and offer the church’s family recipe book. Among those gathered behind their table are Shari Lee, Andrea, Rebecca, Courtney, Xander, Doug Duncan, Butch Landers, Tammy Duncan, one person not identified and John White.
