Impact of Roe vs. Wade

This last week Roe vs. Wade was overturned. Since this is a very important issue that is central to the God-given rights of life and liberty it most assuredly will have an impact on our community, the state, and our country. It has already been cheered and jeered in our churches, workplaces, and at the family table.

In Luke chapter 11, Jesus tells the parable of what has been referred to as “The Prodigal Son” the word prodigal means wasteful, to spend away foolishly. That is exactly what this prodigal son did. He demanded his financial inheritance; he had a desire to spend freely outside the confines of his father.

Comptroller releases broadband plan

State Comptroller Glenn Hegar last week released his agency’s plan to support the expansion of broadband internet access to areas with limited or no access. Hegar and his agency’s Broadband Development Office received feedback through a series of town halls, virtual discussions and more than 16,000 responses to a survey.
