Last week, we started the 87th Legislature. Like many things this past year, the swearing-in ceremony was far different than past years and saw the legislative session open with less pageantry. Regardless of the circumstances, I am always honored to represent East Texas in the Legislature and will continue to work hard to bring our East Texas values to Austin.
Transitions can be scary, exciting, hard, seamless, lengthy, quick and so many other possible scenarios. We are in a time of transition at our office; though there are many words that describe how the changes have felt at different moments - overall spirits are high and great things are taking place.
Linden is moving forward in the new year! Mark your calendar for Jan 30 11a - 1 pm for a downtown block party, hosted by Linden Together. Vendor spaces are still open at no cost. There will be food, music and fun! Come on down and enjoy.
