For the second week in a row Atlanta was on the wrong end of a one possession ball game, 26-23. Late turnovers and going 3-for-13 from the charity strip were the Rabbs Achilles Heel. Kam Williams led Atlanta with nine points and Easton Patterson added seven. Coaches praised the defensive effort of Kaigen Lloyd who dove through the bench and into the stands, ultimately fouling out mid-way through the fourth.
McLeod’s basketball program topped Harleton on Jan. 20. The boys won 61-22 and the girls won 4221.
A 21-0 halftime lead was all the Rabbits needed, as they improved their unblemished record (7-0) by defeating Redwater 48-13 on Jan. 19. Noah Sheffield and Deondre Simmons filled the box score scoring twelve points each. Jaylen Henderson added ten, Hayes Highland seven, Jordan Henderson four and Jamario Crawford three.
