Don Allen Bowlin

Don Allen Bowlin, 79, of Atlanta, Texas passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025.
Born in Rison, Arkansas on July 13, 1945 to Allen & Eula Bowlin, Don was the youngest of six and a proud Rison Wildcat. Retiring from International Paper in 2008 allowed Don to spend more time doing what he loved most: fishing, playing golf, calling the Hogs, and spending time with his family. Don was a member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta, and for over 37 years, he lovingly and selflessly dedicated himself to his wife and their family.
Don is survived by his wife Jane, children Jeff and Angie Bowlin of Richmond, Kentucky, Richie and Sarah Bowlin of Rison, Susan and Patrick Tomberlain, and John and Elizabeth Flippo, both of Texarkana, along with his beloved “Coker Girls” Toni, Teri, Tammy, and Tonya. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren, Abby (Dalton), Regan (Hunter), Jordan (Jared), Brooklyn (James), John Patrick, Jackson, Gabbie, Hutchins, and John Allen, and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Emre. He is also survived by two sisters and families, Rita Stevenson of Conway, Arkansas and Ruby Brown of Rye, Arkansas. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Eula Bowlin, brother Harold Bowlin, and sisters Francis Bowlin and Poli Crawford.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Hanner Funeral Service. Funeral services were on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment followed at Salem Cemetery in Bloomburg, Texas.
