We’re talking about the First Annual National Brian Sowers Legacy CRAPPIE Tournament and Scholarship Dinner happening October 4th and 5th in East Texas. The voice of Crappie fishing, Brian Sowers, was known by many anglers as he participated and ran tournaments throughout the US. He loved sharing his favorite fishing passion with the younger generation and was famous for saying “give a kid a tackle box, not an X-box” and saying to parents, “get outside and make memories”!
It has been announced that “Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) Executive Director Tim Lee is making his way around the great state of Texas to speak at several local chapter meetings and district fall conferences.” One stop will be Queen City. Tuesday, September 10 in Queen City the local chapter of the TRTA will welcome the Executive Director of the local District 8. He will share the latest news for TRTA members and answer any questions that are of concern.
Community leaders from Atlanta, Texas recently participated in Retail Academy, a comprehensive retail education program developed by Retail Strategies. The two-day training, held on August 14 and 15, provided city officials with essential tools and knowledge to attract new retail opportunities in their community.
