LifeShare Blood Center will temporarily be adding testing for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies to the panel of testing for all volunteer blood donors. Testing will begin on Monday, June 1 through Sunday, June 14.
Police are looking for a man who allegedly shot and injured a homeless man in Queen City around noon today.
There has been some confusion about a message board near the rest area on Highway 59 between Atlanta and Linden. There are signs that say there will be closures. Marcus Sandifer, from TxDOT Atlanta, said “there is a fiber optic contractor that is doing some work near the rest area between Linden and Atlanta along US Highway 59. They are the ones that put up the portable message boards with the wrong wording.”
Atlanta Area Rotary Club has been selling tickets for a shopping spree to raise money for their scholarship program. Courtney Shelton won the $500 Brookshire’s shopping spree, which she then donated to Rebecca’s Pantry.
