This last Saturday the Atlanta Debate team went to Elysian Fields and competed in Policy and LD debate as well as Informative and Persuasive Extemp. In Informative for her second time ever competing in this event Ingrid Baizabal placed 6th overall and in Persuasive Alex Jones brought home first. Alex Jones and William Porterfield also competed in policy debate going 3 and 0 and winning second place (by a difference of two speaker points.) Jon Kennedy and Manuel Olvera won 2 out 3 rounds in LD debate and Cademon Larson won 1 out of 3. They did a great job and represented their school well. They have one more practice meet for policy this weekend and will be competing to go to State on Monday.
