The Cypress Valley A&M Club is accepting application for a scholarship for the 2022-23 school year. The club is composed of former Aggies who now reside in Cass and Marion counties.
To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the founding of Atlanta, we will be offering historical stories and photos each week throughout 2022. Each article has been researched using various historical documents and old newspaper articles found in the Atlanta Public Library.
Not many people these days can boast of staying at the same job or company much longer than 20 years; Rarer still are employees that stick around past the 30-year mark. But this week, Carolyn Thompson is celebrating 50 years of coming to work in the same building.

What’s more, this year it’s about “Groundwater: Making the Invisible Visible.” How often do you appreciate the fact that here the water is invisible? Aren’t you glad?
