The Texas Parks and Wildlife issues a consumption advisory for those who catch and eat fish in Lake Kimball in Hardin and Tyler counties and Lake Pruitt (Black Cypress Creek) in Cass County due to the mercury levels.

About 30 kids hopped up to Linden Library Saturday for a total turnout of about 50-60 folks for the Library’s Easter celebration. Denise Haas, Librarian said a pair of boys posing with the Easter bunny won a trophy for the theee-legged-race, and two girls pictures with the bunny won a trophy for the spoon and egg race. Luke Fenley and Eva Lazara both won Easter Baskets and children enjoyed crafts.“A wonderful time was had by all,” Haas said.“A huge thank you to Mary Dowd, Natalie Simon, Lynn Reynolds, and Flo Stevenson for all their help.We Couldn’t have done it without them.” Haas said a special shout-out goes to Clifton Colliflower for parading as Easter Bunny.
