The day of the Christmas Parade in Linden this year was Dec. 7. This was the date in 1941 of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor which started Work War II for the United States. Well, Santa whistled for the dog to come, but Kira the dog chose to greet, instead, her master Tim Loizeaux.
The J. E. Manning American Legion Post 258 in Atlanta prepared Christmas dinners for some 29 deserving families this past week.
-- real reindeer with sharply pointed antlers -- an apparently real skating rink. (The slips and toppling over were certainly real.)
